Repertory Dance Theatre Salutes its Freddy Award Nominees and Winners.

RDT dancer Nicholas Acampora won the Freddy Award for "Outstanding Performance by a Featured Dancer" He is an 11th grade student at Bethlehem Catholic High School. He played the lead role of Arthur Kipps in the school's production of "Half A Sixpence." Also nominated for this award was Melissa Kropf for her role in Central Catholic High School's production of "Beauty and the Beast."

Madeline Jazz Guerdat and Matthew Harvey return to RDT this summer to teach at Repertory Dance Theatre's summer dance programs.














Their exquisite performance as the Sugarplum Fairy and Her Prince in RDT's Nutcracker captivated the audience. RDT is thrilled that they will be returning to the Lehigh Valley to teach at RDT's summer dance classes. RDT's guest faculty will also include Heidi Cruz Austin, a former Pennsylvania Ballet dancer. Ms. Austin has performed as a guest artist with RDT and throughout the United States and Europe. She is also an accomplished, award winning choreographer. Photos by Hub Wison.


Repertory Dance Theatre dancers were invited to attend company class with the State Ballet of Russia during the company's visit to the State Theatre in Easton to perform Swan Lake. Thirty of RDT's dancers went to State Theatre on January 22nd expecting a master class but instead received the extra honor of taking a warm-up class with the dancers from the State Ballet of Russia.











Repertory Dance Theatre's February 12th production of Dorothy's Adventures in Oz included a special dessert party where audience members had a chance to mingle with the dancers, dance with the dancers, create crowns and bracelets and eat delicious cupcakes shaped like witches and lions. Many of the young audience members came dressed as Dorothy.
