What is "Let's Go Nutz"
Repertory Dance Theatre will be presenting its third annual Let’s Go Nutz!  on Saturday, December 8th at 7:00 PM. Enjoy an evening of jazz music, dancing and singing.  Professional Jazz Musicians join RDT guest artists and dancers on Miller Symphony Hall stage to perform jazzed up versions of Nutcracker and other holiday favorites.  The Lehigh Valley Chorus and Tap Ties complete the event.

American Ballet Theatre
and Ballet X

Sean Stewart
Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey and raised in Vacaville, California, Sean Stewart joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet in 1997. He began dancing at the age of 10 with Lisa Clark, started ballet at 12 with Yanina Cywinska, and went on to study at Joffrey II and the Paris Opera Ballet School. He participated in summer programs for The Joffrey Ballet in San Antonio and the Bolshoi Ballet at Vail.

Stewart left ABT in 2002. He has performed as a guest artist with the Washington Ballet, Ballet NY, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, Atlanta Ballet and Chamber Dance Project. Stewart was an original cast member in the Old Globe’s production of Twyla Tharp’s The Times, They Are A Changin’.

Stewart rejoined American Ballet Theatre in January 2008.
Elina Miettinen
Born in Belomorsk, Russia, Elina Miettinen moved, with her family to Helsinki, Finland in 1992. At the age of nine, Miettinen was accepted into the special training class at the Helsinki Dance Institute. In 2005, she was given a Pro Dance Scholarship and went to the Amsterdam National Ballet Academy in Holland. In the Autumn of 2006, Miettinen joined the Finnish National Ballet.

In 2002, Miettinen was a finalist in the Scandinavian Ballet Competition in Sweden. In 2005, she was a semi-finalist in the Helsinki International Ballet Competition. In 2007, Miettinen competed in the Scandinavian Ballet Competition and won a prize trip to the International Ballet Competition in Grasse, France where she won a bronze medal. In the Summer of 2007, Miettinen won the Igor Youskevitch Award at the New York International Ballet Competition.

Miettinen joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet in January 2008.
Daniel Mayo
Daniel Mayo received his BFA degree in Dance from The Juilliard School, and danced with Atlanta Ballet from 2007 through 2010, when he joined the RUBBERBANDance Group based in Montreal, directed by Victor Quijada. Performing with RUBBERBANDance Group, Daniel toured North America, Europe, and Asia and danced in multiple film projects. He has also performed professionally as a guest artist with The Atlanta Opera, Dance Grand Moultrie, and Bennyroyce Dance Productions. Originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, he was proud to perform with BalletX from 2014-2018 and now resides in the Philadelphia area with his wife and children

We offer dance training to pre-professional and dance enthusiasts alike. Our professional staff are experts in their fields and aim to develop the natural talent in each pupil.
Our curriculum
is attentive to a child’s creative and emotional growth, as well as to the child’s development of self- esteem. We strive to develop a warm friendly working relationship with each student, thereby encouraging a positive, active response to the arts and to life.
Past Academy students have danced professionally with American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet, Ballet West, National Ballet of Canada, State Ballet of Missouri, Tulsa Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Joffrey, Pittsburgh Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, South Carolina Ballet and on Broadway and in films.
Our students have received scholarships for advanced study at the School of American Ballet, Joffrey, Pennsylvania Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Harid Conservatory, Richmond Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet and Pa. Governor’s School.

Dance Academy
Repertory Dance Theatre is a fixture on the cultural landscape of the Lehigh Valley and its artistry directly contributes to the quality of life in the Lehigh Valley. RDT productions are for audiences of all ages and feature professional and pre-professional dancers. All of RDT’s performances and outreach programs are designed to entertain and educate, engage and delight Lehigh Valley audiences of all ages about the art of dance and encourage young people to learn about dance as a discipline, profession and avocation.

Founded by Dolly Haltzman in 1987 as a 501c3 nonprofit pre-professional dance company, RDT is now under the artistic direction of Jennifer Haltzman Tracy and Trinette Singleton.
